Detailed Description : A few years ago, I felt the need to go back to the basics in learning about Christianity. I could think of no one I would rather learn from than Dr. Francis Schaeffer. As I worked through this Bible study, I could imagine myself in the Schaeffers' home, curled up near the fireplace on the floor, listening to him guide me through the Scriptures step by step, line upon line, precept upon precept. That is what this study is designed to do. It deals with God, God's Dealing with Man, Salvation, and Things of the Future. The book ends with his essay, 'Two Contents, Two Realities,' dealing with the 'four things Christians need to make an impact in the current age. Together these two works serve to show the coherence and credibility of the Scriptures and their relevance to the critical issues in your life.' In each chapter of this study, Schaeffer lists several Scriptures to look up, and then makes a few short comments about each one. I appreciate that I can study as few or as many Scriptures as I have time for, and can come back to the study as time allows without losing my train of thought. In order to do this, I write down each biblical passage in a little journal.
