We are crossing into some “new” territory when it comes to courting, and not dating. If all of this is new to you, there are numerous publications about it...finally! Point well taken! By making this decision early, we can assimilate the information into our lifestyles,
thoughts, and prayers as well as into the children’s. This is such a crucial part of our lives as families, and we must be prepared, because, believe me, the young adult years come faster than can ever be imagined. It is much easier to lay the ground work now, so a child doesn’t expect to date when he or she is perhaps fifteen!
For those who have preteens or teens and feel God leading them to this method of choosing a lifelong soul mate, the task could be a little more difficult because the foundation hasn’t been laid, but God’s grace is more than sufficient, and He will supply all your needs. You will probably want to inundate yourselves and your teens with the Word of God and with information about courtship, both philosophically and practically.
